Replacing your 710 cap is worth while since you're in the engine bay.

If you are talking about that little resistor that you bought off of ebay for a lot more then it is worth (they sell those at radio shack for like $0.15), its supposed to connect in your IAT sensor. It basically just tells your computer the wrong temp so that the computer changes the air/fuel mixture.
