I purchased a honda cold air intake online. After installation, there’s this weird ticking sound when I turn, but it’s probably nothing, my friend said it was from the extra power. Now all the time when I pull up next to mustangs and American cars they all rev their engines but I just blow them away.

Is that all you have done for your car...an intake? The mustangs must not be GT then...:P

Just the key to the ebay intakes is DO NOT use the filter they come with, make sure you buy a different filter like K&N or the AEM Dryflow

You can use the filter that comes with the intake for a while, I just wouldnt use it for a long time. I had the filter on for two months before I got my K&N. Its not going to kill your car to use it for a bit.

Hondafanatic^ I'd check to see if that ticking sound isn't the filter bumping into the inside of the engine compartment. My buddy and I fabricated a cold air intake into his 1986 Accord, and we had a similar ticking sound at idle. It turned out that the filter was clanking into the inside wall of his engine compartment.

That would make sense with the noise in the engine compartment, more than likely a good call there, I would check that out!
