not positive on the 6th gen, but should be plastic screws along the top.

i didnt have to take off the bumper to get my resonator box out. its a really tight fit, but if you have a small enough ratchet, itll work.
still a pain in the butt though

 

Take off the bumper...Its 4 screws on the top,and two behind the wheel well..Save you a few scabs. Have a friend help you.

 

My bumper is only held on by the two plastic rivets on top and two screws in the wheel well, never had an issue.

That pipe goes through the existing hole that the filter box connected to the resonator went through and the filter attaches below it, in the bumper.

A cold air intake introduces air from outside the engine bay ..... the filter sits where the OEM resonator used to be. For a true CAI, you have to remove the stock resonator box.

 

look it looks like you got jipped you paid for a cai and they sent a sri

 

no no....they never sent anything...i bought it straight from the store...see i told u it was a Spectre.....got it from autozone...says in the manual if i had like 2 extra pipes then it wud be a CAI...but for now its a SRI..i never knew that CAI were jus longer versions of SRI

 

Hey bro, do some research on CAIs and SRIs. Cold air intakes are supposed to draw cooler flowing air because cold air is supposedly more dense than the air absorbed from under the hood. A disadvantage of having a CAI is that the air has a longer distance to travel than a SRI, therefore you may feel a lag when you hit the throttle. A SRI is designed with a short tube to absorb a mass amount of air and therefore increase volume intake. One disadvantage of a SRI is that some believe the air absorbed is actually warmer than that of a stock configuration because the air absorbed is from the engine bay, but some manufacturers have fixed that problem by adding a heat shield. Check your piping and see if your intake has a heat shield. Anyway, I could type a whole report on CAIs and SRIs, but I'm going to leave it up to you to do your research. I personally prefer the AEM V2 intake, a SRI configuration that is designed to act like a CAI yet outperform any of their other AEM intake products. Just remember to research before you buy so that way you don't screw yourself over on some nonrefundable part. I knew nothing about Accords when I joined HAF and I still haven't done any mods on my car except the AEM V2 but when I get the money I'll buy the stuff I want to put on my car and I'll know it's quality recommended parts because I did my research and asked questions. Anyway, take it easy bro and good luck fixing that CAI/SRI or whatever it is you ordere.
