cai sytems
Gentlemen.
i was considering purchasing comptech's icebox system, i just found out that when you
but the comptech supercharger,(which i plan to do later), th esuperharger kit coems with the icebox kit as part of the deal.
so i have to re think this and do something short term until i save all my pennies for the supercharger.
looking on e bay i see a multitude of "cheap" cai systems,
i also noted that most of them state"easy installation" buth they will not come with installation instuctions, probably for legal reasons.
so
anyone out ther with experiene with these
"less expensive cai's" and
anyone actually done this on a 3.0 v6 vtec
how did the installation go
would like to take a shot at this myslef but could use some tips

RE: cai sytems
My thoughts are to go with a name brand CAI. Why? Directions, 50 state legal, enhances performance, and can be resold after your S/C icebox combo go on.
Why buy junk that may or may not fit or have the correct fittings?

solid advice tex,
think i will follow your suggestion, it's goin to takr me a while to save for the sc so a couple of hundred in a good cai, maybe injen, will be money well spent.
the only bummer is that the comptech ice box is the only system i have seen thus far, with which there is not need to worry about sucking up water. mine is a daily driver so i do drive a lot in all conditions here in new jersey.
tks for the repsonse
