Default cali coupe? cat rattle

hey guys
my wife has a 2000 california(wtf i bought it in virginia) ex coupe, 4 cyl auto ulev.
cat rattles when it gets hot. sheilds are all tight, its deffinetly from inside cat.
has anyone installed a test pipe?
does it throw a mil or cel?
how bout cat from no ulev / non cali car ?(mil or cel?)

really agrrivating cat is $1500.00 from dealer. used motor on ebay $850.00. makes no sense.

there is a possibility of getting a CEL when you install a test pipe. You will recieve one for sure if you don't put the O2 sensor back in... If it's coming from inside the Cat my guess would be some of the "honeycomb" came apart in there... you can either crawl under the car and slap it around a bit and see if it makes that sound or just remove it real quick and give it a shake. And screw $1500.00 here's a site that I JUST got/installed a power window motor from. They were great with me and I couldn't beat the price... how's $100.00 for a cat sound? go here

A test pipe would probably give you a CEL.

If that cat is bad I know that most times the emmisions warranty will take care of them. I'm not sure if you need a CEL or not, but maybe look into that. But $1500, forget that. Check out that site sir nasty has...

how do you know its a car sound cat converter?
im also looking for a car sound cat since its the best one from what i heard so i can get rid of that 30 buc cat i got on my car.
imma get it this week for like 113 bucs.

i saw a magnaflow/car sound cat converter for $77.96
magnaflow and car sound cats are the same thing, if you dont believe me check out magnaflow's website.

Yeah, I got a free high-flow cat converter when I got my Cat-back muffler system on eBay, rockin'!!
