Cold Air Intake

I have a 92 accord LX 2.2L with standard transmission with over 261,xxx miles is it worth considering a "cold air intake"....

If the engine is good it's always fun. If you think you'll like the sound, go for it. But you won't see any gains from it.

actually on our f22a engine a cold air intake is a nice upgrade. No you won't gain 87655hp from it but you will notice the gas pedal will be a bit lighter and your throttle response will be improved. Also if you get a NAME brand intake you will see that you won't struggle revving out to 6k. Even know we don't make power after 5800rpms but it does help when racing to rev the extra 200rpms. But a NAME brand intake helps our NONE high end power engines rev little bit more and help you out up top in your power band.

sounds like i will be investing in one soon thanks for the input, wheres the best to place to get one and best brand to get?

I like AEM and Injen intakes. I also recommend buying a AEM bypass valve. Don't cheap out and buy any other brand of bypass valve. It will defeat the purpose of a CAI.

Get a short ram. Easier to install. Don't need to cut anything out. It wont damage your engine if it gets wet. Short ram is better for a cb7 than a cold air I have heard and noticed.

short ram on a cb7 is all about preference. I hated my short ram and absolutely LOVE my CAI. Got a little up top that out engines can't produce with a short ram(helps out when racing). More to it than what you have "heard"
