Default Cold Air Intake

Hi, I have a 2006 Ex V6 Coupe. I'm thinking about getting a cold air intake but i hear that it is sensitive to water getting in( so i can't drive in the rain ). I've heard of filters, anyone know how to prevent water from getting in, or places to get filters? Thanks

cold air intakes are fine in rain/some water, where you get into issues is when it's a massive downpour or a big puddle. If you submerse the intake it will hydrolock your engine, or if enough water surrounds it to the point where it's nearly submersed it's going to hydro lock... The way around it is called a bypass valve
