Default Exhast Question?? Accord 2012

So i have 2012 Honda Accord I4 Sedan.
I was looking for a exhaust i guess to make it a lil louder nnothing serious but just a little...now do TIPS make it louder? (i was told no and yes) ?? do i need to by a whole new exhaust system??? (someone said i can just cut the tip??)

bascially i want it to be stylish and a little louder what should i be looking at??

just change your muffler. Go to exhaust shop with muffler of choice and have them cut off your old and install the new muffler

By changing muffler this changes the Sound only???
What is a good site to look for good quality mufflers and this will not mess with my warranty willl it?

yes muffler changes the sound. A good muffler to look for is a Flowmaster 40 series...pretty good sounding muffler.

No shouldn’t void your warranty. But ask your honda deal 1st to be100% if your worried about it.

okay thanks. I seem to cant find any that fit 2012 accord. maybe the 2011 is same?? do you know a website to go to

you can use whatever muffler you want. It doesn’t have to say it’s made for your year accord. As long as the inlet piping is the same diameter as your stock pipe it will be a easy install for the exhaust shop….even if it’s a bit bigger than OEM they can make it work you just don’t want to go smaller pipe diameter then OEM. You really wanna find the same size but truly won’t matter. As long as your not going with a 3’ inlet on a 2.5’ exhaust
