RE: Have a problem after installing headers and a custom exhaust
I don't know much but what is a O2 sensor emulator and no the check engine light hasn't turned on. I forgot to mention that when I got my car back after installing the headers and the exhaust the O2 sensor was not plugged in and the car was running good then i found out that the O2 sensor was not plugged in so I plugged it in and that's when I noticed my car going up to 2000 rpm's.

it may have fouled your O2 sensor, make sure that BOTH of them are plugged in, an emulator just sends the ECU a signal that tells it that the air/fuel mixture is fine without having it take a real reading

Here's an idea of the O2 simulator.... you also need to make sure that when you first turn on/start your car that the check engine light comes on for a second (indicating that the bulb isn't burned out), Look around for vacuum leaks and if you haven't reset the computer since you re-connected your 02 sensor then do that as well

Agreed. Try everything suggested BEFORE buying an o2 sensor. When I had my cat and headers put on I had to get a new one for the headers (so the one for the cat may be more) and it cost me $145!!! It was from CarQuest and was Bosch. I can only imagine what oem ones cost.

Yo man i got the same thing happening on my car. Check the throttle position sensor, mine was doin it and i disconnect my tps and it goes back to normal. then i plug it back in and it does it again, i got a bad tps and i kinda think your car has a bad tps, mine revs up to 2200 sometimes anfter it warms up, at stoplights it reve up 1700 or 1800 and down to 800 or 700 and im pretty sure it the tps. i've got a 90 accord with 96 sohc vtec f22b1 engine with no map sensor lol and it work hella fine.

I thought this was a 94 accord? 94 and 95 accord were obd1 and only have the one o2 sensor before the catalyst. There is no 2nd o2 sensor on those models. Sounds like a vacuume leak to me or possibly iac valve sticking.
