is that tan heat wrap ok to use? its not gonna damage anything?

It may cause your header to deteriorate prematurely....so I've heard anyways

It's not necessary on a stock engine... It will do nothing really

 

x2 ...... but it will burn off over time look at my pics, they've been there for almost 4 years.

The wrap on the downpipes only lasted for about a year. Considering the effort and getting fibreglass all over the place, I'm not going to wrap the next car's header(s).
