Header installed, gaskets question
So I installed my obx header the other day and when a friend of mine and I were putting it on we noticed that there wasn't any gaskets for the connection between the head pipe and the cat. We bolted it up and could not get a good fit at this connection. I went to autozone and got two metal donut gaskets that are suppose to go in there. Each gasket has a flat side and a round side. Do the flat sides back up against the head pipe flange and the other gaskets flat side go against the cats so the two round sides of each gasket come together? Or does it go the opposite way creating a ball type joint in this area? Right now the spring bolts that were originally in place were removed and prevent the system from any flex so of course those will have to go back on as well to hold this connection together. Do these gaskets sound like what others have? Any help is appreciated.
The exhasut gaskets or "donut's" that I've used typically have a bevel on both sides and just slip in between the headers and exhaust... they look kinda like this <> and make an O .... go to napa or checker etc and ask them for a standard exhaust gasket and take a look at what it is

Glad to see you've finally almost got them on! The gasket I rceived for mine looked exactly the same as the one for the one where the engine and headers meet. The gasket didnt have any buldge, both gaskets that were included were flat. Sorry to hear about the problem. I would personally call whoever you ordered them from and have them send you a replacement. Good luck!
