you insinuated!
I appologize if I offended you, but my intent was not related to your knowlege at all.

regardless of what you think, the fact is that horsepower and airflow are directly related. the more powerful the engine, the more air it sucks in. the more it sucks in, the quicker it need to scavenge the exhaust gas away.
This is not exactly true. I can prove my point with analytical physics, but I am not going to. For a given engine without changing the spark timing or AF tuning I'd agree, but these are pretty big caveots. An example is the K20A3 Hondata re-flash.
do it. of course tuning will yeild results, but the fact is that higher HP engines use more air than lower HP engines. ITR B18c5 and H22A use a 62mm throttle body from the factory. weaker engines use smaller bores, such as the 55mm on the F22b2.

Here's a simpler calc. K20A2 vs. Jaguar AJ25.

K20A2
2.0L, 200 HP @ 7400 rpm
200 HP @ 14,800 L/m
74 L/m/HP

AJ25
2.5L, 192 HP @ 6800 rpm
192 HP @ 17,000 L/m
88 L/m/HP

This means that the Honda has a better volumetric efficiency. The Jag is flowing more air and producing less power.

there are exceptions to every rule fine, but MOST of the time, this is true.

Agreed, but this is why i use airflow only ..... I am, after all, a duct designer!
