Hmm you got me confused there. If the header helps you at higher rpms (after 4k) and slows before 4k losing torque, then how can your startups be faster? Also why did you take off your header in the first place?

F22/23 header is cast, one-piece. Not really wrappable.

His OBX header warped.

If you want fast startups, get a lightweight flywheel lol. In the summer I have to crank it so fast otherwise the started screeched at me.

Ah. That's why I'd pick DC sports for headers.

It is mainly, but not completely due to backpressure. Starting a vehicle isn't an easy task so freeing up its breathing system helps. A header is also somewhat tuned b/c the primary tubes are the exact same length.

Yup, as Finch stated, my header warped where the two pieces met. I got tired of making my own gaskets and dealing w/ CEL's. I am going to get a Megan header if I get another one. If it ever warps, I have a guy who can machine it.
