IAR Mod

IAR Mod
I've been looking into sound suppression and exhaust flow while cutting up my exhaust and it got me thinking about the intake.
I know the IAR is useful for both sound attenuation and intake flow but I notice that it only kicks in at 3k rpm. That leaves the closed part of the chamber to deal with the resonances below 3k. There is also the second chamber that does not change. I will be taking some measurements and doing some math but I'm wondering if anyone else has looked into this.
Maybe changing the IAR chamber length and tweaking the sensor's voltage would give my car a broader range of intake charge?
Anyone know why it wasn't design like that in the first place? Or why Honda removed it from their engines so quickly?
