Which is better for the 91 Ex coupe with factory motor the AEM V2 cold air or the K&N system?

Don't waste your money. Buy a cheap intake off eBay and slap an AEM or K&N filter on it. It will workjust as well. Brand name CAIs or SRIs are an incredible waste of money.

Technically speaking, the V2 is a better system. Practically speaking, Jon is on the money!

In other words: "You will not notice a difference in your car's performance if you buy a $300 system or a $80 system." Maybe the V2 will give you an extra 1/2 hp or so...wow that was worth the money you spent to get it!

In defense of paying way too much for an intake, the V2 will sound nicer ...... also, my brother's Icebox is one of the nicest, quietest intakes I've ever heard! Go figure, he bought it because I told him that would be the case ..... he spent like $280 and had to wait for 3 months to get it.

It sounds like stock, sort of .... until VTEC kicks in, then it roars like a muffled V8!

Performance-wise ther is about 0.5-1 HP differance .... maybe 2 HP between a V2 and Jon's Bomz intake. I/H/E don't really add much power, but the combination allow the engine to get to the upper rpm range much quicker. This is what causes the augmented response effect. On 4 cylinder Honda engines, the car will be faster for normal daily driving with the OEM exhaust manifold as opposed to a header.
