are there Proformance chips for an Automatic 97 Accord and if so how much would it cost. There's one on ebay for about 15 bucks. Sounds fishy but im new to tuning so i thought i'd ask

 

There are a variety of chips you can get, the best ones to get are from a company that tunes them according to what extras you have... most of the cheap ebay ones just do a few things like possibly advance the timing slightly, remove the governor, and remove the rev limiter but nothing really major. Where a reputable company will offer custom programing, just tell them what you have for extras (if anything) what you want it to do (timing advance, fuel/air mixture changes etc) and they program and send it to you and offer re-programming, expect to pay about $75 on up
