with the 2nd diagram, it looks like your blocking your air filter with the battery. that would sort ofblock some air going through your filter. that would not be effective for your intake IMO. but since you said your giving that car to your dad,might as well putthe stock intakeback in andthe batterythe way it was so your dad would not have any issues with it.

Yeah, I agree with truekid, I'd just put the intake back to stock so your dad doesn't get ticked.

I took out that the air box in the fender wall so the air comes up from there so the battery doesn't block the air from getting to the filter
