Default What Makes a Good Intake?

I just got my 98 accord and I would like to give it a few more horses and increase the MPG a little and I've heard that intakes are a fairly inexpensive way to do that. So I was wondering what I should look at when buying an intake? I've never put any mods on cars so I am really clueless on what I am looking for. Also, what should I be expecting to pay? (my engine is a 4 cylinder vtec if that helps anything)

I recommend AEM cold air intake with a AEM bypass valve. Or Injen cold air intake with a AEM bypass valve. AEM makes the only bypass valve that I have seen that actually works.

As for price it varys. I just went to a couple of sites and found the medium of prices to be around 220ish. I looked for a 2.4L 4cyl cause thats what mine is and you said that yours was 4vtech as well. Hope this helps out...
