what mods should I do to my 99 v6 accord

Default what mods should I do to my 99 v6 accord

Just got it and it is stock....want some more power but dont have alot of cash..what mods should I do first? and which give the best noticable power gains...any other info would be great thanks

I would do an intake first. Simple to install and fairly cheap, plus the sound and power gains will make you smile for a few weeks. Cold air or short ram? That is up to you. If you take a look in the archives there are various threads debating the pros and cons of each.

do they trip the check engine light? either?

id prefer short cause its simple to install.....

Nope, an sri shouldn't give you a CEL. I'd recommend that first. Not enormous gains, but the sound is great, it's cheap, easy to install (as mbo said), and it will come into effect later on once you need that extra air flow. Exhaust parts are kinda the setup for the big mods that come later on.

im gonna buy it on ebay...they have alot of cold air intake the 2 piece do u know if those can be used short and cold aired?

I believe injen makes one thats meant to be able to be either, but not sure about the ebay ones. If it doesn't mention it, I don't think that it would be the intended use, however, you could just use the first part of the piping and stick a filter on the end if not. Not ideal, but it will certainly be better than the stock airbox.
