Default 1996 Honda Accord

What's up every one! So recently the tranny in my car started acting up. It would go into D4 just fine (Automatic by the way) and shift like it should as I would pick up speed. The last couple of weeks after putting it into D4 and accelerating it would go from 1st and start auto shifting as it should, but the rpm's would go way up before shifting into second and so on. Now, when I put it into R, D4, D3, 2 or 1... there's nothing, the engine just rev's. Is this tranny done for? Would maybe a flush and fill fix it? I'm far from a mechanic, but I can do basic fixes on Honda's. I would willing to try at least a flush/fill if you feel it would get it going and then getter up for sale. It runs great other than the tranny issue. Any advice would be great! Thank you!

Welcome to the forum, Zipper

Of course the flush & fill would cost less than replacing the transmission... If that doesn't resolve the issue, go to plan B

Thanks for the reply man. I may just do a flush and fill and see if that resolves it... here's to hoping! If not, I'll just put it up on Craigslist as is.
