Default 1996 LX Accord Sedan MT

Hey,

I'm a new owner in Maryland of a White 1996 LX Accord 4Door (5speed). I bought the car for $2500 and it has a new clutch and flywheel, recently qualified for a full service tune up, new front wheel bearings, and has a pretty clean interior. The car has 156k Miles on it. All these repairs have been done in the past few months. The car runs smooth, shifts nicely, and idles great! ( no vac leaks!) No previous accidents either.

My main purpose of buying the Accord was a commuter vehicle and a rainy day driver. I also have a motorcycle so thats my fun spring, summer ride. Anyway, I would like to perform some small upgrades so that it will last and give me some better performance. I don't want to drive a crappy looking car and I would like to have fun with it.

So, i would love anyone to take me by the hand !

Sway bars, intake, anything you can think of that would be an improvement and not HURTFUL wear and tear to the car. Thanks and this looks like a great forum.

Welcome, for your situation I would recommend lowering it, some rims, sway bars(as you said), and maybe a intake and exhaust.

Get her looking and performing well so you can have some fun on the way to work!

Welcome, getting a quality set of intake and exhaust (including header) would help you not only increase your gas millage it'll give you a more powerful car. From there make sure you keep the suspension and brakes up to par.
