I recently replaced the fuel pump assembly in the tank hoping that would fix the problem of the fuel gauge always being stuck on empty.
Not happening. Still stuck on empty.
Any thoughts on a inexpensive resolution? Electrical is my weak area.
Would appreciate any insight or help anyone would have.

 

I guess I would have checked the wiring to that pump assembly first before replacing it. I hope you would have noticed any wires that were pinched or cut within view when you were working.

I don't have a wiring diagram for 2003, so I hope someone chimes in with which wires you can check. But that might require knowing whether it's a 2-door or 4-door, LX, EX, or whatever.

 

Car is an ex 4dr sedan 2.4 4 cylinder motor. 315000 miles. Thats why i went ahead and swapped out the pump.
