Last week, I was turning a corner and the rear drivers side door window shattered. I just received a replacement and was wondering if there are any special tools or tricks needed to replace the glass?

 

I think I'd want to know why the window shattered before I replace it.

 

After checking out YouTube, it wasn't clear what needed to be done to install a new window. The pillar between the main window and the non-moving vent window must be removed by unscrewing a small phillips head at the top and a 10mm bolt just below where it enters the door frame. Once this is out, the new window pane can be installed and then the rubber gasket and frame put back in. Silicone lubricant worked great to get it to slide easier. Then just reassemble and it worked great.
