I agree, however, when I took delivery of my 1999 328i I found the ride rock hard and the car so squirrely it was impossible to keep in a straight line. The dealership claimed I had pumped the tires up to over 60psi, and once the pressure was dropped into the mid to upper 30s everthing was good. Personally I suspect A) the shipping pressure was still in the tires, and possibly B) the spring restraints for shipping were still in place.
