Yesterday morning when I started the car I heard some unusual loud noises, which would increase when accelerating, or starting after a stoplight. Researching I online, I suspected whether the catalytic converter might have been stolen.


Looking underneath the car though I am not sure where or what the catalytic converter is.


Some questions that I would appreciate help with:


- If the catalytic converter in a 2016 Honda is stolen, will there be a check engine or another malfunction light? (I have none on right now)

- What else could be happening to cause this kind of noise?
