Default 91 honda wagon (automatic) keeps dying on me.

i had recently replaced the transmission control unit in the car because is was not shifting past 3rd gear when i would drive on the freeway and would even jerk back and forth like the gas pedal was being pressed and let up. So from looking at forums i figured it was the tcu and ordered one from eBay with the exact code and changed it out. Car was working fine after that until the other day when i was driving it to work i noticed the speedometer start twitching then it dropped to zero right after that the rpm gauge did the same thing then the car started jerking back and forth like i was running out of gas or something and eventually died on me when i slowed down. does anyone know what this could be?

It could be a lot of things.

no spark in the cylinder.
- dead battery
- bad battery connections
-bad ecu
no fuel in the cylinder.
- out of gas
-clogged fuel filter
- bad fuel pump
- damaged fuel line
no air in the cylinder.
-bad intake
-ecu not sending signal
-bad motor on the throttle body.

or a myriad of other things.
