94 Accord EX Wagon - Keep or sell?
#14
Thanks
Hey RedAccord00,
My feeling is, there are always lots of factors to consider when it comes to making a decision about purchasing a newer (or new) car when the one you have is in good running condition. Yes, there are definitely faster, quieter, more exciting cars out there, but if you've performed all the scheduled maintenance and have kept your OO accord in good shape, it should be a pretty reliable car for years to come. I guess it's all a matter of how much you want to sacrifice, financially and priorities. I bought an 06 Accord V6 manual sedan. I've always wanted it. It's quiet, fast and comfortable for my whole family. However, I did save for years and bought the car outright. Personally, I hate car payments. You may regret that you sold the 00 after you start getting nailed with months of car payments.
On the other hand, life is short. If you've been dreaming of getting a nice, newer car, go for it! Got any choice rides in mind?

I appreciate the feedback. I still have and it still running strong. Although, exterior paint on roof is fading. The top has a rough texture now and some paint is starting to peel off a bit. I do do regular oil changes to keep it running and quite frankly that's all that this car is requiring for now. Not sure if I want to spend the money getting it repainted. Was thinking about the Maaco paint deal but dont trust them so I think for now I am gonna keep it as it is and when or if I do decide to take it off the road, I want to keep it as a project car because it is an easy car to work on. The parts the inexpensive and readily available.
