I have a 1998 Accord EX that I just bought from a local owner who had purchased it from someone from one of our neighboring states. After buying it and after doing a CARFAX search and obtaining service records from the dealership that the 3rd previous owner had taken it to, I've come to learn that the odometer had been rolled back. The guy whom I had bought it from was not aware of this when he had bought it either. Is there a serial number on the instrument cluster that would identify it as being the original or not? I have a suspicion that the cluster had been replaced.

There is no VIN on the clusters, so no you can't really tell if its the original or not. But my guess would be it was replaced as well.
