Default Accord Manual Tranny Question

I was wondering, I was trying to get a used 91 Accord and the seller says that the car won't shift into 5th gear but goes into all others. Does anybody have an idea what might be going on with the car and about how much it would cost to fix.

As much if not more than replacing it.

if you can find used tranny around $1500-2000

used tranny can be found at junk yards and rebuilt tranny places. Make sure you replace a clutch while you're there.
