Bought a 2009 EX model
I saw something like that too. Some of the techniques are illegal & downright dangerous. Like drafting 4 feet behind a semi.
Traffic lights... You can always find some kid with too much testosterone who's willing to zoom ahead to the next red light. Let him sit on the magnetic sensor so it turns green just as you get there.

Well yeah I wouldn't ever draft behind a semi like that. Stupid from a wreck standpoint and you car will get slammed with whatever he runs over. I am a commercial insurance adjuster remember - we get lots of "your dump truck threw a rock and broke my windshield" claims. But you still get a significant MPG increase by following them at the legal "One car length per 10mph" distance. They tested it on Mythbusters (love that show! I DVR it every Wednesday)
With what you said about the traffic lights it sounds like you did read the same article I did.
Maybe I'll start a hypermileage thread..... I'm seriously thinking about seeing how many MPG I can get in the Mississippi 100 degree 100% humidity weather with the AC cranked to 3 the whole time I'm in the car (any less AC and I'll melt.)

Well lets just say it turns fuel into heat and brake dust. But on the other hand I hardly used my brakes for a year on my Peugeot (French farm vehicle) and the discs rusted up. Still it ran on a mix of diesel and cooking oil.
