Door lock vs alarm 2003 Accord LX

replaced the factory alarm last fall...with new alarm, doors lock/unlock when key turned in ignition (old alarm didn't do this)
doors recently quit locking with driver's side lock (button will unlock, not lock)
new door actuator installed....worked a few times then same problem - doors will unlock, but will not auto lock (only manual lock with key or when pushing button down near shoulder...button on actuator disengages)
mechanic has taken door apart and tightens everything & it works for a few days and then....same problem.
Is this computer-related? Is there more than 1 computer and what else does it control besides windows and doors?

Or could this be an alarm issue? 2 different shops have now worked on this so I'm at a loss for where to get it resolved & only have so much $$.
