Has anyone bought new lately?
I am new to the site and am thinking about buying a new 2009 Accord. We have owned 2 accords (89 and a 96). Still have the 96. Just wanting to know before talking to dealership, what I can expect them to come down off of sticker price. Wanted to know if anyone has bought in the last couple of months and what kind of deal they got. I live in Indiana.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I bought a 2009 LX-P last month. I am in California, and I would assume that dealers nationwide are hungry for sales.
I did my research on vehicles on Consumer Reports. When I narrowed it down, I bought the detailed report on it($12). It breaks down the invoice price, dealer fees, extras invoices, pretty much everything.
I went to 3 dealers and two sat down and we compared prices, their numbers were within $20-$30 of mine, and we worked from there.
One dealer told me it was a waste of time to shop around since the most difference I would get in price is $50, in a very demeaning way. Since this was my 1st new car experience I politely smiled and nodded to the bs he was saying(just to get the experience) and left with no intentions of going back to that place anytime soon. His loss.
My advice is to do research, build up your ammunition, and go in with knowledge(confidence). If they see you've done your homework, they'll know you know what you want, and it'll be easy.
....or you can just low-ball the hell out of them, lol. 14,000, final offer!!
If you want to know anything, numbers-wise or otherwise, just let me know, I don't mind helping.

4cyl vs. 6 cyl ?
I just rented an '08 4 cyl. to see whether I want to buy an '09. I really liked the car, except for the noise. It is mostly road noise I think. I've read that the 6 cyl. models have a noise cancellation system. Does it cancel out road noise, and is the 6 significantly quieter than the 4?
