Default Howdy everyone

Hey all,

Just figured I'd introduce myself. Figured this would be a good place to open up some ideas from other accord drivers and also a good resource if I find myself stuck.

Anyways, my ride is a super awesome 1989 Honda Accord, manual (which I am still learning how to drive) I'm doing some repairs on it before I bring it out on the open road with me. It's been in the family for awhile and now that it's my turn to take it I want to clean it up a bit. It's got 420,000 miles on it but it's been well taken care of.

I am starting out as a DIY guy and want to do all the repairs myself and make the car my own. Have that sense of accomplishment. It's nothing special, but I've wanted a manual for quite some time in order to learn so here's my chance!

Just wanted to make myself known, I plan on posting and updating my profile as the time goes on but also wanted to get the helpful advice of people who've been there done that and gotten a t-shirt. That's the story with the 89' accord.

Thought I'd share -- suns coming out maybe I can get the heater fans working tonight!

Welcome!
Check out the "General Tech" area for most of your actual questions. There's a guy (Poorman212) who really likes that generation of Accord.

Yes, welcome to HAF.

Yea, done a bit on the 3rd gens, can't say I got the T-shirt yet....still have a few hanging around in the driveway

Is yours a 2, 3 or 4dr....also what trim level (DX, LX or LXi)?

Thanks for joining.

Mine is a 2 door LXi model like the one you have quoted.

It's a darker grey color. My next repair is to replace the resistor for the blower motor see if I can get the vents blowing air again. The seats eventually I will want to replace but it's not a huge priority.

Anyways, thanks for the introduction! I am sure you'll be hearing more from me!

Thanks guys!

I will post some pictures of it once I can get a clear day to do it. We've had nothing but rain for what feels like months.
