Just found this forum! Not a newb to forums...
Previous cars owned: 1993 Toyota Celica-1994 Nissan 300zx-1990 ZR1 Corvette ( Sold vette to buy a place with my g/f)
Now driving a 2005 Chevy Truck which is for sale, and looking into a Nighthawk 02 Accord coupe. Been searching and searching for one under 75k miles, found the one I want and now just have to sell my truck!
Can't wait to learn more about the car and other accords and get to know some honda people!

PS- my girl got me into the accord, her whole family are honda freaks!

Welcome to the forum! is it an auto or manual that you are looking at?

 

Auto... not really planning to do much... I'm honestly more of a domestic guy so I won't do anything to the motor, but I love the styling of the 02's, so plans are for tint,screen,rims,maybe lower it. I blew alot of money on my 300zx(thru rod on first motor) and my vette with bolt-ons was a hell of alot faster then it, so I promised never to spend money on a import motor again lol

Jus looking for a daily driver I can take care of and enjoy driving and RELIABILITY! I'm still a car guy so I still wanna be able to work on/wax myself.
So what do you think about the price?

 

V6 or 4cyl? Also, I'm going to bring this up to give you a heads up not to frighten you.... However, a few of the auto trannies in the 99-02's had issues and were the basis of a class action suit. This is much more noticeable in the V6's... However, if you go to www.hondatransmissionsettlement.com you can type in the vehicles vin, if it was part of that suit then you have a 9 year 109,000 mile warranty on it (so out to 2011 and 109k)

Thanks for the info about the trannie, yeah I heard about that, I will def check out that site so thanks! If its a recall and it seems to be or close enough to it, Honda should just take care of it for me. Thanks again!

 

Gotcha! I missed that last line that said the price and everything.... For an 02 in good shape at 75k I'd say that's a pretty good price.... I know the 04 I4 accords run about $14,000 so it's right on the money.... if it's a dealer I'd offer em 10,500. And yes if your car comes up in the site it should be covered.
