Just got brand new 2012 honda accord coupe..
Hey guys!
I am new here. Just checking it out. Recently got a 2012 honda accord coupe v6 Ex-L. really loving it so far. Got it in auto, only one on lot, and got a great deal for it. I was curious what other people were getting for their 0-60 times on their accords of the 8th generation? I want to eventually get some window tint, but maybe look into performance mods. But, i am really new to all of that and dont want anything too serious or expensive. I think its got plenty of punch, but really want to sit in it and feel "wowed". I would love to hear what others have done to their cars. Post away!

Welcome to the forum.
I can't really comment regarding 0-60 times. The fastest 8th generation Accord in stock form is the V6 6-speed.
Any or all of the following may or may not be what you consider too serious or expensive. Everything is relative.
In regards to engine mods, there are quite a few V6 owners that added the P2R (PowerRevRacing) ported intake manifold runner and the P2R thermal intake manifold gasket. The ported intake manifold runner is a new Honda intake manifold runner that is ported by P2R. -- Throwdown Performance is one seller for these.
Then there's the ATLP J-Pipe for your V6. Some people pair that with a test pipe or a high-flow cat converter. There are also others makers of J-Pipes. -- Check out sellers like Heeltoeauto.
If you do the ported intake manifold runner and/or J-Pipe, you may want to add an air intake in conjunction.
There are many cat back exhausts. You can check out other sellers and brands for that.
In the U.S., there is Honda Factory Performance (HFP) for the Accord coupe. HFP available accessories are:
HFP suspension for coupe
HFP wheels
HFP spoilers (side, front and rear) for the coupe
HFP badge (emblem)

Hi,
we are probably buying a 2012 Accord sedan EX-L V6 tomorrow.
MSRP of about $30,420.
What was your great deal----MSRP and price paid??
Thanks
Well I actually nabbed a really good deal because we bought it very very slightly used only had 2000 miles on it. The person who had it before me only had it for a month, due to financial circumstances(crazy, Why would you buy something if you couldnt afford) anyways we got it for 27000. msrp 32,000 brand new so saved about 5k.
OH and i had the coupe, not the sedan. So you may be able to get it even lower than what I got! Honda is usually open to haggling on new cars even moreso than used. With the new 2013's coming out just around the corner, dont be surprised if you could get it for a very nice deal. Good luck!
I bought a 2012 Accord too! only 600 miles on it so far... but wife took it out of town.. so by next week at this time... 2,000 after our beach trip. Love the MPG...
I didn't get it for the "WOW" factor. If I had wanted the Wow factor.. I would have bought a 335 BMW .. now that's a entry level WOW factor.. the seat will actually creak as you floor it.. pushing you back into it...
I am very happy with my High MPG Honda ( gas hovering around 4 bucks a gallon.. )
