Let me introduce myself
Hello
Just stumbled on this forum. It is (from what I have found so far) the best resource for Honda stuff... I can here for some advice and hopefully, I'll stay for the beer...
The Honda is really my wife's car, although to be truthful she really doesn't like it much. Mostly because it is not white... It is a 1999 Accord DX (although the letter designation seems to have visually disappeared in that year). It has the 4 cyl VTEC, 5 speed manual transmission with the leather trim package. You know, usual sorta trim package, pretty much everything someone would want except the steering wheel control. We have had the car since 2001 when it had 40K on it. It now has130K. Mostly trouble free (expect for the trouble I posted in the "Please help me section" (go take a look maybe you can help). This is the family car. As for mods, well, there are some after market driving lights and winter tires on steel wheels....
So that is the car. This is me. I'm a computer professional and feel most comfortable with good old american iron... Truthfully, this car scares the hell out of me. With my 93 Chevy pickup I know what everything is and what everything does. This car, not so much... Still feel comfortable replacing things but trying to figure out what is broken is another story. I fish and golf when I'm not chasing my daughters around the soccer fields and hockey rinks.
See you in forums. Watch out, I have opinions (butI'm no troll).
