Hi all. New member here. I've been searching awhile for a used accord in the 90-93 era and i think I may have found one. It's a 1993 SE sedan with the auto trans. The price is right($1400), it has 167k miles, and I'm told it is in fine mechanical condition(will need brakes soon). I'm going for a test drive tomorrow and if anyone has any tips onwhat to look for, i would appreciate any advice. Also, I know both the hood and front bumper need to be painted. If anyone has any experience with that, I would appreciate any insight you may have. Thanks alot!

 

A couple of things I would look for would be, any noticable leaks (around the engine or under the car ), the exhaust all the way back expecially on the top of the pipe ( look for excessive rust or holes ), and also I would askwhat will need to bereplaced soon for the brakes, if there's any shaking check out the pads, rotors, calipers and bearings.just a few problems thatI have run in to.
