Default Need your help y'all!!

I just bought a 1994 Honda Accord with 200k miles and the abs light comes on sometimes when I go to start the car. It stays their sometimes and goes away, I don't feel anything unusual when braking. What could this be? Thanks for the help y'all!!

Wheel sensor. Find out which one is the culprit, take off the tire remove the sensor clean it up with brake cleaner and reinstall. I had the same problem, it worked fine for me.

Somewhere down in this thread is a list of error codes from the ABS unit. Jumper the SCS connector with a paperclip & count the lamp flashing...

Yes, it's likely to be one of the wheel sensors, but that can just as likely be a wire that's cut or unplugged, or a sensor all full of magnetic crud stuck to the sensor, or an actual failed sensor.

Yup, my wife's car had a failed right rear sensor when we got it. We had the Honda dealer tell us which one, and I replaced it.
