Default New 07 accord ex

Hey guys i just got an 07 accord ex with the v6 6spd vtec, im in highschool so i had a few questions about some inexpensive mods i could consider. I really wanted to throw in a cold air intake along with an exhaust system. but idk where to start company wise. Also wanted some black rims or professionally paint the stock ones black and maybe lowering springs bout 1.5in drop. Id be happy to hear your guys feedback.

Welcome new member.

Exhaust and an intake, while popular mods, really do not gain much HP and cost quite a lot.

Getting the wheels done in black and lowering the car do not cost very much and dramatically change the looks of the car.

If you search around on google you will find many nicely written how tos on painting the wheels yourself. it is actually quite easy and comes out great and cost less then $100.

100$ for the rims would be sweet because the stock rims are actually pretty nice, i heard i can get lowering springs and have it lowered for about 300$ and i just want an exhaust that gives me a nice sound but not too aggressive such as a skunk2 exhaust

Well you can get lowering springs for less than $300(eibach) its going to cost more than that to have them installed. Also it is recommend you get aftermarket shocks and alignment when you lower it.

How much would shocks and alignment run me? what about the exhaust route?

Aftermarket shocks can cost anywhere from $80-150 a piece. Its also going to take a mechanic a few hours to install it all, really just depends on their hourly rate. An alignment is usually $100-150.

I have a Skunk2 on my Accord and its incredibly loud, definitely not a good exhaust to keep a low profile. People have been able to hear me from over a mile away.

Greddy and Apexi make some good exhausts that aren't quite as loud.
