Hey all...thought I'd go ahead and register. I'm on another Accord forum, but the activity level just isn't enough for my loquacious self. Anyway, I made sure to put my car info in my signature as requested.
Ummm, let's see, I have a 100 mile rt commute every day, so I put a lot of highway miles on my car. I just got it in September and already have around 14-15K on it, not sure. I take very, very good care of it, e.g. all the necessary maintenance is kept up to date and I keep it clean and shiny, inside and out. I've been using Motorcraft 5W-20 with Purolator PureOne filters, but I'm switching to Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 at the next change and plan to use it going forward. My goal is to get at least 300K out of this without anything major, so anything I can do to that end, within reason, I will do.
I love the silky smooth V6 and the amazing power/acceleration it seems to have through the whole torque curve. I'm very cautious about the 5AT with its sketchy history, but it seems Honda may have fixed the problem for the most part. It will get a lot of careful, regular attention.
I drive moderately and don't push it too much, but I do occasionally open it up pretty good. But not too much or too often...like I said, 300K.
This isn't my first Honda or Accord. I had a 92 LX that got over 200K before my sister got a hold of it and trashed it. Otherwise, my wife had a '91, I had an 83 Civic Wagon with the 1.3L, and an '01 Odyssey LX.
Anyway, more later...pictures, too. I look forward to chatting with all of you!

Welcome to the forum! Always glad to have another member! Do you have any plans for modifying your Accord? Let me know how you like the Penzoil Platinum oil when you switch, I have also thought about doing that!
