welcome to the forum...what made you decide to trade in your '03 for an '06

 

I'm almost regretting it now that I am learning about all these tiny changes between years. So far, this project has been incredibly informative, I've never touched a car beyond changing a liscence plate frame before. lol Every day I learn something new.

Well, why I upgraded. I was planning on going in and doing a straight 03 to 03 upgrade. I wanted atleast a v6 with leather maybe navi. They didn't have an 03-05 that I wanted and it was all over from there...

 

hopefully your trans (if it is an auto) will not suffer the fate of just about every acura trans mated to a V6 (after '97 but prior to 05 model year)

 

and that would be? this is my first honda v6, I've only had 1 toyota v6 previously. that car took some serious abuse...

 

the dreaded downshift into 2nd gear when you are on the FWY.....

 

oh geeze, when that happens I think I'll start to research previous
posting and posting a new thread bout swapping out the auto to 6.
I've seen a couple people do it to 7th gens already.

 

the '06 cars should be "fixed"....

 

I hope, although I might eventually be one of those auto to 6sp switchers anyways. That's after, let see, my quad hid/halo retrofit, alpine touchscreen nav unit sub and second amp, header and all the other engine mods I want. LoL, so it's a little ways off.

I havn't researched it but it would be nice to have one of the semi auto/auto acura type trannies, give a tad more control w/ the option of driving home brain dead from work at 5:30 in the morning.
