Hello everybody, just bought a 15 Accord LX-S 2.4 i4. Was just wondering when the hell vtec activates, cant really find much online about it other than random people estimating what rpm it starts at.

Not much printed information on the newer ones to know all of the parameters that have to be "met/set" for it to kick in

 

I had an 03 with the 3.0 it was noticeable when it kicked in. I just recently bought me an 05 2.4 to use as a commuter. The technology is older than yours of course, but the vtec in my 2.4 isnt really noticeable like it was in the 3.0.

People make it out like it pulls like its a turbo or something. it really just feels like a very noticeable power band. I wouldnt be expecting too much from the vtec.
