Smile New here, trying to buy an accord

I'm looking at buying a 1995 Honda Accord EX? 5 speed coupe 23x,xxx miles. I was just wondering if there were any problems consistent with this year or model, etc. I've driven one before and i really liked it. I'm aiming for better gas mileage.. i get 15 right now :/ oh, and the car is $2000. its completely loaded, power everything, sunroof, leather, etc. I have a POS right now, and im not trying to get another so any input is welcome (:

There are some common problems with those, but nothing major. Mainly slow window motors, speedometers breaking, and glove box light staying on.

$2,000 seems a little steep for a 16 year old car with 230,000 miles. I paid $1500 for my 95 with 160,000 miles 2 years ago.

Ok, the add says 2000 obo, so what would you suggest as a good starting offer? I'm prepared to go to 2000, but of course, who wouldnt want to get it cheaper.

It's hard to say without seeing it, but I guess maybe start at 1500. Have you looked on craigslist? I don't know about in virginia but up here there are literally hundreds for sale. A lot with less miles than the ones you described for cheaper, but obviously location does have something to do with that.

Yes, the add is on craigslist. We dont really have much to choose from here though. I'm in richmond, and richmond isnt exactly the nicest city so a lot of them are beaters unfortunately.
