Default New member - 01 Honda Accord

Hey guys - new member here. I drive a 2001 Honda Accord EX with all the options - and just ticked over 200,375 miles.

Looking for advice on whether to keep it - or go with something new. I hope this forum will give me guidance!!

Tough call. It takes a LOT of continuous repairs to equal the monthly payment on a new car.

Then again, some people are just really looking for an excuse to get a new car.

You have to sit down & have a long talk with yourself about which way you WANT to do it.

WELCOME!

I have the same year accord mines manual and a 4dr not sure if you have a 2dr or 4dr or a auto or manual but i personally fell in love with this car, if you have the 4dr its very spacious and great for going out with friends or driving family anywhere and mine has just over 259 km's on it (not sure what that is in miles) and maintenance is fairly cheap on it. So far most money spent on it has been for performance upgrades and depending on the previous owner and how well the car was taken care of you may spend less then me which is significantly less then a new car. You can keep the cost down even more if you do most maintenance and small repairs yourself, which unfortunately is getting harder and harder to do with new cars. example on saving money i just replaced my starter i got a rebuilt one for 100 bucks and installed it myself, if i had a shop do it it would cost me 400 about parts and labor. Anyways good luck on your decision i hope the car treats you well.
