After this the space between the block and cylinder head is increased which further leaks the compression. so in this case, the only option you have is to change the Gasket.

Default New guy!

Greetings from Ireland, new member here, I only bought a 99 Honda Accord a few days ago, and the smile on my face is starting to hurt now. It is an Euro888 version, 1.8i s, manual, black with black alloys.
It is not only my first Honda, but my first sporty car lol wow what fun it is to drive, amazing car and I can't wait to make a few mods, like changing out the stock dash lights and stock headlights!
It has a few ****ly probs, like the horn does not work, crucial for driving in Ireland, too many slow drivers on our roads!
Took me a while to understand how the engine works, really bad in high gears with low revs etc, but at full flight it is unreal
So I'm sure I will be in here reading and learning as I go, seems like a great site for accord owners!!!

What does v-tec stand for by the way?
