Hey, i've had a '97 Accord since I got my license back when I was 16 (Over 2 years). I'm in love with this car but I just wish it had some extras. It is a basic 2Dr 4cyl auto LX and i'm bored of it already. I've looked around at lots of other cars but I can't let go of the Accord.

I've decided to just get another Accord but it has to be perfect. I'm looking for a 1997 4DR Manual Accord with sunroof and power options. Leather would be nice too... I'm also planning on upgrading the engine but I don't know what I should do.

Everyone swaps out the engine for the H22a but can someone tell me why? Is there no way of making the original engine any faster? I'm new to modifying cars so any tips and facts on the 5th gen Accords would help me out a lot.

Welcome and thanks for joining.

You'll be looking for an EX (came with moon roof).

The H motor is pretty much a drop in with a few extra ponies......you can boost an F that will out run an H motor.

Look around in the proper sections for ideas.

Set a plan, budget for that plan and then go.
