Default New member but not a Honda owner yet

My 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon is coming up on 150,000 miles and rather than maintain a high-mileage car (I've done that twice), I decided to see if I can find a new one I like instead. Since the only good sporty wagon I know of is BMW (don't say the word Volvo to me) and I'm not ready for those $, I thought I'd give up on the wagon and open up the field. Tomorrow I see two Honda dealers for demo drives, both in a 2013 Accord EX-L, 4-cylinder CVT. I'm ready for some more refinement and better gas mileage, but hope I wouldn't be giving up too much performance and handling. We shall see!

Acura TSX? Don't they still have the wagon version of that?

Thanks, yes they do as I'm seeing on their website. I'll have to look at that. From comparing the photos and specs of the TSX wagon to the Accord, it looks to me that the TSX may be based on the prior model Accord, and has EPA gas mileage 5-6 mpg less than the Accord across the board.

No. The TSX is the Europe/UK/Japan Accord which is a smaller car than the USA Accord. But I'm not sure how that figures into the MPG ratings...

Well, I guess my stay here will be short. I drove two 2013 Accords today (EX-L), They drove very well, including being good on a windy road, better than I expected. But what struck me was that both times when I got back in and drove my own car (2005 Legacy GT Wagon), I enjoyed driving it much more than the Accord. My car is much more "sports-car nimble", for lack of a better phrase, to me than the Accord. So I'm backing away from an Accord because I can't see buying a new car knowing going in that I like my old car better. So I have to find a new car I like to drive as much as my current one or, failing at that, just keep it.

Yeah, some of us don't own Accords any more...

And some of us even have fond memories of Subarus... or maybe Saabarus.
