Hello,
Just joined to tap in to the collective knowledge of fellow Accord owners and hopefully contribute what I do know to others in need.
About me:
I'm a 28 yr old in sales and have been around Hondas my whole life. Parents raised me around Accords and my first car was a 98 Civic EX. Sold that in 2006 to buy a new Accord '06 EX-L Black. She now has about 177,000 miles on her since I am a road warrior and I want to take care of her as best that I can. I'm starting to look in to doing things myself to save $ and just to not be totally dependent on the inconvenience of a dealership/mechanic as I get into higher mileage maintenance.
The only thing that has been done with this car is:
-oil changes with Royal Purple 5w-20 and RP extended life filter about every 10K mi (started in 2008)
-transmission fluid I think has been changed, but I can't remember for sure
-tire changes
I'm sure there's a lot I need to do at this point in the mileage, that I haven't i.e. belts, coolant flush, spark plugs, etc.
That's why I'm here. I'd like to be able to do all of this myself. Thanks in advance for any help.
