The name is Dan. I bought a 2001 Accord DX for a family car. I have had it about two years now. I also have a 90 Beretta GT with tons of mods. But I joined this site to learn more about my honda.

I do need to know how to reset the maintence required light on the honda.

Welcome newbie! The DX is the one without airconditioning? How's that work out in NM?

maintenance reset...
1) Key OFF.
2) Press & hold the odometer reset button.
3) Key ON (no need to actually start the engine).
4) Continue holding the reset button, like, forever.
5) Well, maybe only about 20 seconds.
6) Maint.Req. lamp will flash a few times then stay off.
DONE.

Well it has A/C so maybe I'm wrong and its an EX. But my Beretta has no A/C and its no big deal. We didn't have such a bad summer this year...it really wasn't that bad.

Thank you for the details on that light reset!!
