Glad to have you with us, thank you for joining.

My first question for you....at that milage, if the timing belt has not been changed I'd put that at the top of the list.

Auto or manual trans?

Anyway, welcome to HAF.

Talking Hello New Member

Welcome to the HAF...

The car sounds like you got a good deal.
Get a pad and paper and go over the car from front to back, from bottom to top and just look at everything that might be showing any kind of wear..put it on your pad and when your all done...have those things done or checked out to make sure they are all okay.
Note any concerens and do the same with them on how the car runs...

I second everything WheelBroker said. However, I'd also add that you might want to consider, if you are not a trained mechanic, having a professional look the car over for you. There are safety-related items that you might want a mechanic to check, such as tie rod ends, ball joints, strut mounting point, etc, etc.

In terms of keeping the car running well, the best advice I can give you is to follow the maintenance schedule and then fix little problems before they become big problems. I also have a 03 Accord coupe with over 158,000 miles, and if I had to drive a thousand miles tomorrow, I would do it without hesitating.
